Fishing was fair to good using worms for bluegill. Fishing was slow to fair using slab spoons and blade baits in 25 to 30 feet of water for white bass. Fishing for catfish slowed considerably from the previous week with just a few caught by anglers using stink bait and night crawlers. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass was slow. We had no reports on other species. The surface water temp was in the low to mid 80s.

Ute Lake: Fishing was good trolling crank baits and casting top water lures and spinners for white bass. Fishing was very good using worms and small plastics for bluegill. Fishing was fair using night crawlers and minnows in 15 to 20 feet of water for walleye. Fishing was fair to good using tubes, worms, creature baits and spinner baits for smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. Fishing was fair to good using liver, night crawlers and stink baits for catfish. We had no reports on other species. The surface water temp for most of the week was right around 80 degrees.

Fishing was fair using top water lures and trolling and casting crank baits for white bass. Anglers who found schooling fish did very well. Fishing was slow to fair using jig and night crawler combinations in the trees for walleye. Fishing was good using liver, night crawlers and stink baits for catfish. Fishing was excellent using worms for bluegill. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass was slow to fair using tubes and grubs off main lake and secondary points. Fishing for crappie was slow. The surface water temp was in the high 70s.
