     LAUGHLIN-BULLHEAD AREA: Good striper action in this whole stretch or river from Davis Dam all the way downstream to Topoc Gorge. The heat is on and there is relatively light fishing pressure, but lots of one to four-pound fish are showing on anchovies, swimbaits, and surface plugs. Just below the dam, Mike Zayac, San Diego, landed a 25.9-pound striper fishing a topwater plug. Dean Thomas, Paradise, had stripers at 2.28 and 1.78 pounds in the Big Bend area. Dean Thomas, Bullhead City, landed a 2.16-pounder on anchovies. Some largemouth bass are also showing in the backwaters and smallmouth pretty decent along any rip-rap.      LAUGHLIN-BULLHEAD AREA: The striped bass bite has been very good this past week from the dam all the way downstream to Needles and below. Most are one to two pounds, but a lot of fish from four to six pounds are showing now. Lino Garcia, Bullhead City, had four stripers to 2.84-pound fishing anchovies just below Davis Dam. Quite a few catfish are also showing from the quieter stretches and backwaters. Brody Horton, Bullhead City, had a 10.4-pound catfish from the Nature Center bay. Some bass are also showing in the backwaters, and the bluegill and redear are also starting to take off. Information: Riviera Marina at 928-763-8550.

     LAUGHLIN-BULLHEAD AREA: The striped bass bite has continued just fair from the dam all the way downstream to Needles. Most are one to two pounds, but a lot of fish from four to six pounds are showing now. Willie Schoggins, Bullhead City, landed the 4.42-pound striper on anchovies from shore in the Big Bend area. Bob Lindaas and Chuck Stephens, both Fort Mohave, had several stripers to 5.6 pounds, also on anchovies from shore. Some bass are showing in the backwaters, and the bluegill and redear are also starting to take off. Information: Riviera Marina at 928-763-8550.
