LAUGHLIN-BULLHEAD AREA: The stripers are fair to good in the Big Bend stretch, but the fish are very small (under a pound) and showing on anchovies. The bite is generally fair to good all the way down to the Avi Bridge. Lynn Hall, Laughlin, landed an 11.54-pound striper on an anchovy in the Big Bend area, while Jimi Carter, Bullhead City, caught a six-pound striper near Circle Beach. Both anglers were using anchovies. There is also a decent catfish bite in this same area and upstream to the dam. Also some bass showing in the backwaters and quite areas with the spawn beginning. Panfish showing, especially in the bays and backwaters, but still just fair. Information: Riviera Marina at 928-763-8550.
