Fair to good action on smallmouth and largemouth bass on plastics and nightcrawlers on the shelves from the dam up past the power lines. Bluegill and redear have also been pretty good near the dam on nightcrawlers. Stripers are fair at the dam and from the Power Lines up to Katherine’s and most of the coves. Anchovies have been the top bait, but a few fish are showing on topwater and reaction baits early in the day. The catfish bite is fair to good in most coves, especially at night on cut baits. Information: Cottonwood Cove at 702-297-1464, Katherine’s Landing at 928-754-3245. Interesting web site for Willow Beach and Lake Mohave striper anglers: http://lakemohavestripers.com.

My trip over the weekend to Lake Mohave was a good trip as the fish may be moving slightly more shallow with the drawdown happening. Faster moving baits like a scatter rap and spinnerbaits worked well in the morning and in the evening drifting tubes and dropshots caught fish. My advice is to start in the 10 foot range and move deeper if you aren't getting bit.
