hit a weedy area of lake hopatcong the other day hoping for some perch but all we could manage was little nibbles here and there. i dropped the camera down to see what it was and it was, surprise, just a ton of picky small sunnies/bluegill. anyway we downsized so at least we could catch something but we'll have to try a different spot next weekend.

after a slow start at splitrock with just one smallmouth between two of us we hit hopatcong for some perch. we had what appeared to be a good area with humps and weeds but only managed small perch and not many with a few bluegills thrown in, also not big. and a little tiny pickle dart. 3 slow ice fishing days so far, hopefully it turns around soon.
