Bates Field and Stream (501-470-1846) said bream are biting well on worms and crickets fished next to the bank around logjams and lily pads. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around the Highway 89 bridge and in Caney Creek. Bass are biting fairly well early in the morning and late in the evening on soft-plastics and frogs fished around the lily pads near shore.Catfishing is excellent on yo-yos, limb lines and trotlines baited with goldfish, large minnows and small bream.

(Updated 7-15-2014) Bates Field and Stream (501-470-1846) said the water is clear and at normal level. Bream fishing is excellent on worms and crickets around the banks. Crappie are biting fairly well around green cypress trees on minnows and chartreuse jigs. Bass are responding best to spinnerbaits, topwater chuggers and buzzbaits. Catfishing is good on limblines and trotlines baited with goldfish. (Updated 7-15-2014) Daniel Zajac at Gold Creek Landing (501-607-0590) said all species are fair at best.
