Fishing Report
September 10, 2014
Bates Field and Stream (501-470-1846) said the water is stained, per usual for Conway, and the lake is at normal level. Bream are biting well on worms and crickets fished around shallow areas (one foot and shallower) with lily pads and logjams. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs fished on the shady side of live cypress trees in 6 feet of water. Bass are fair on soft-plastic lures and frogs fished along the lily pads near shore. Catfishing is good on yo-yos, limb lines and trotlines baited with gold fish, large minnows and small bream.
