Trout remain slow, which is typical during the heat of summer. The best bite is early morning on the usual array of PowerBaits, nightcrawlers, or small trout jigs and lures. The bass action is fair on plastics and topwater early in the day, while the catfish and bluegill bites are pretty good. The catfish are best on cut baits, while the ‘gills are showing on meal worms, wax worms, crickets, or small jigs tipped with bait. Trout plants are each week.
