The Fishing:
OPTION 1:
We specialize in providing clients especially those new to the area or fly fishing a fun and information filled experience on our local waters. Experts and beginners can improve their casting, presentation, wading, fly selection, knot tying, entomology and stream etiquette. Shannon's is located one mile from the Ken Lockwood Gorge, New Jersey's premier fly fishing destination as well as many other great areas in this lovely corner of the Garden State. Let our guides share with you their decades of experience to provide a fun and productive day of fly fishing.
All of our guides are "in-house guides", fully insured and Red Cross certified in CPR. Guides provide basic terminal tackle including flies, tippets and leaders.
Out professional staff will guide you on some of New Jerseys finest rivers including: Ken Lockwood Gorge, South Branch of the Raritan River, Musconetcong, and Pequest. Catskill NY trips are also available. All guiding clients are required to sign an insurance waiver prior to beginning their trip.
Half Day: $130.00 per one person half day $205.00 for Two or $275.00 for three. We strongly recommend one guide per three people at minimum.
Full Day: $205.00 for 7.5 hours. $275.00 for Two or $350.00 for Three people

OPTION 2:
We are pleased to offer access to private stocked water on the property of the Raritan Inn located just outside of Califon, New Jersey. This water is open to the public for the purpose of providing expertly guided fly fishing trips that are safe, comfortable, informative and always exciting. Lodging is available also available. Please visit the Raritan Inn on the web. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the staff looks after your every need while maintaining a great degree of privacy. Corporate and group bookings are available and provide a welcome addition or alternative to the classic "Golf Outing". Private or corporate groups book the entire facility and have it at their disposal on the day of their visit.
All fishing is with barbless hooks on a fly rod and all the fish must be released. Kamloops Rainbow Trout are stocked and both wild Brown trout and Native Brook Trout are common. This is the place to fish in a secluded unspoiled setting for large trout (2-5 pound fish are common) one hour from Manhattan.
