The Fishing:

The southernmost parts of Casco Bay touch the vibrant city of Portland, Maine, home to the Presumpscot River and Royal River mouths.  These areas attract spawning bait fish, and the stripers follow.  After chasing bait fish, stripers move off the river mouths and onto the rich mud flats and estuaries. It's here that you'll find an incredibly unique and productive fishery, ideal for shallow water fishing enthusiasts.

Capt. Eric Wallace of Coastal Fly Angler focuses on the middle to lower half of Casco Bay, fishing the inshore flats and shallows.  Aboard an Action Craft flats skiff, you will fish most of your day in less then five feet of water, taking advantage of the currents that wash over the flats and bring stripers into their skinny water feeding zones.  With countless acres of flats, Capt. Wallace and his clients are oftentimes the only ones fishing the area and the tides! There's no other place like this in striper country: active fish, no crowds and a beautiful setting.

BOATS AND EQUIPMENT OFFERED:  Action Craft 1720 fly fisher (the "Twin Fin") with a Yamaha 115 4-stroke engine.  All gear and flies are provided, so feel free to travel light!  Capt. Eric Wallace is a member of the Scott Fly Rods pro staff, so all gear is the latest and greatest, including Scott Rods, and Tibor and Bauer reels.

Accommodations:

The Chebeague Island Inn is a beautifully restored 1920's island hotel with outstanding dining and a nine-hole golf course.  During your stay, you will be picked up each morning by boat, and casting to stripers or blues in less than five minutes.  (Remember that you will be fishing in a bay with over three hundred islands, so you can quickly disappear onto our own flat or island ledge.)

Lodging prices range from $165.00 to $345.00 per night, and will be included in your customized fishing package.
