- 1 1 inch think, 12 inch long cedar plank
- 2 trout fillets with skin still on.
- 1 tbs butter
- pinch red pepper
- 1/2 lemon (optional)
Soak the cedar plank under water for at least 30 minutes so that it doesn't catch fire on the grill.
Pre-hear grill to 425 F
Put cedar plank onto the grill and let it begin to smoke.
Prepare Trout Fillets:
Rub fillets with butter and spring with salt, pepper, and red pepper. Give fillets a light drizzle of lemon juice if desired
Place fillets (skin side down) onto smoking cedar plank and let sit on the grill for 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the fillets. When the meat is flakey it is done.
