The lake remains warm (84 to 86 degrees), clear and is currently 10.88 feet low. Large weed mats can be found everywhere on the lake with fish holding in or on the deep edges of the mats. Jigs, Shacky Heads and soft plastics in natural colors have been working extremely well. Early morning, for an extremely short period, right at daybreak, Largemouth have been schooling at the deep end of long points that extend into the main lake. A Pop-R or shallow running crankbaits have been catching these fish. Good luck and be careful on the water with the low water conditions, and always wear your PFD. Remember that, anglers and any type of water craft used on the lake are required to drain all water from their boats and equipment after a day on the lake to prevent the spread of zebra mussel.
