1 fish caught | Lunker: 4lb Channel Catfish using a Live Worm

Fished all day from a boat, Zero trout action, but hooked up with a nice catfish on a night crawler, not what I was going for but happy to catch it for sure, just shy of 5lbs. Think it was a bit too warm for a great trout bite. Saw a few get caught, but not allot. I was a bit disappointed, but still always glad to get out and fish for the day.

Best was a 14-1 landed by Carlos Valdepena, Lake Forest, on PowerBait in the Big Lake. A 13-8 was landed by Paul Hansen, Newport Beach, while a 13-even was caught by Kory Allen Anaheim. The rain also perked the catfish bite, and a 15-pound blue was landed by Astorga Rodriguez, Alhambra, on the shrimp-marshmallow combo. Trout plants are weekly.
