Not in the Delta, but in a pond...on a Wacky Style Strike King Shim-E-Stik...The day was hot and the fishing heated up, as this was the first bass of the day...I doubted if there were trophies in the pond and was pleasantly surprised with this Big Momma--ac

Bass in the Upper-Middle part of the Delta are firing off on squarebills, plastic craws, and other plastics that can mimic a bream, this includes slowly walking hollow frogs.  I have caught a few spotted bass as the water began receding about 3 weeks ago.  Get out there and do some junk fishing or just stick with your favorite bait and presentation.

Been spending some time paddling creeks of the Mobile Bay and Perdido Bay.  Have caught several bass.  All are good "footballs".

Had a Big Bass Photo Contest at school and, of course, I couldn't let the kids beat me.  A few of them did anyway.  Never got the Big Momma, but it has been a great time to be outdoors, if the pollen doesn't bother you.--ac
