The bite is great right now. It's about numbers down there 20-30 decent keepers is normal. There are a few fish in the 3-5 pound range chewing also. It's a great time to get out and catch a bunch of fish. Stay on top of the busting fish and you'll have a blast. My Dad and I finished 2nd in the El Cajon Ford day tournament last weekend. Go fish while the action is hot!!

No county report. Marina staff report the bluegill bite is very good with a lot of pan-sized fish on nightcrawlers, wax worms, meal worms, and crickets. There is also a fair to good bass bite on shiners and nightcrawlers, and a good early morning surface bite. The catfish bite on most cut baits. Water level is rising. Otay is open on a Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule and boat rentals are available all three days. General lake information: 619-465-3474 or www.sandiego.gov/water/recreation/. Rental boat and concession information: 619-397-5212.
