WOHLFORD: The trout bite has been fair to good, but the warm weather has moved the fish toward the deeper water in the west end of the lake. Oakvale Cove and Point west of the Senior Shoreline have been the top spots. Kevin Pahl, Carlsbad, landed an 8-9 rainbow on an inflated nightcrawler in Boat Dock Cove. Plants were last Wednesday and the next is slated for Mach 25. The bass action is also good with the fish in full-spawn mode. Lots of fish on beds, and plastics have been a top bet. A few crappie and bluegill are showing. For information contact the Ranger Station at 760-839-4346 or go to the website at www.wohlfordlake.com

WOHLFORD: The trout bite has been slow to fair, but a 1,500-pound plant this week should perk that action. There was a 9-3 rainbow landed by Charles Vanpelt, Escondido, on a nightcrawlers from Boat Dock Cove. The bass bite is fair to good with the fish moving shallow for the spawn. Also a few crappie being landed, but this bite is tough. For information contact the Ranger Station at 760-839-4346 or go to the website at www.wohlfordlake.com
