No county report this week. Bass have been fair to good with a lot of topwater early and late. Plastics also a good bet. Brandon Sommerville, Bonita, laned a 4-8 bass on a Roboworm fished drop-shot style. Catfish are showing in the deep water off the points opposite the marina, mostly on cut baits. The bluegill bite is pretty good. Danny Mascari, Jamul, landed nine bluegill with a total weight of 10 pounds and his best fish was a 1-4. Lake information: 619-466-4847 or www.sandiego.gov/water/recreation/. There are boat rentals Friday through Sunday and the new concession number is 619-466-4847.
