The water temperature is 76 degrees. The lake is open 7 days a week from 530am-8pm. Bass are chasing the Shad right now and are biting the surface in the morning sand late afternoons. Catfish are being caught on Mackerel. Bluegill bite is on Redworms and Mealworms. Fishing Boats and Kayaks available for rent.

No county report. Marina staff reports that bass have been fair to good with a lot of topwater and jerk bait action early and late as the fish chase shad. Plastics also a good bet. James Odom, La Mesa, had five bass to three pounds on plastics. Catfish are showing in the deep water off the points opposite the marina, mostly on cut baits. The bluegill bite is pretty good.
