Fishing on Istokpoga is pretty tough this time of year. You need to be on the water at safe light. This time of year you want to look for current, like out in front of Josephine Creek in the padfields out from the mouth about 75 yards. Your best approach is to pick up your flipping stick with 65 lb. braided line and flip a dark jig with a trailer or a creature bait Out in front of "No Name " creek or Lee Creek as it's known, is some grass coming up, but it can be a timing thing there.Another really good area to try is between where Arbuckle Creek comes out into the lake on the side out from Istokpoga Park, all the way around to the straight entrance to Arbuckle Creek. There is some grass around the pads which is holding fish. http://www.DonHatcherFishing.com <--- Visit!
