Weather: Sunny Air Temperature: 41-50 F

Chuck Morrison at Classic Catch Guide Service (479-774-9117) said the surface water temperature is in the upper 40s to low 50s. Bass fishing has been very good. The jerkbait bite has been getting better and better in creeks and channel swings. You can also yo-yo a Rat-L-Trap on drops, slow roll a spinnerbait around flats with any remaining vegetation or work jigs off of rocky drops and bluffs. Swimbaits also have worked well over brush piles in the backwater areas. Crappie have been biting very well around woody cover in 10 to 17 feet of water in the main river and creeks on dark-colored jigs and minnows. White bass have been biting very well on small Rat-L-Traps, jigs with grubs, tailspins and spoons at the mouths of creeks and the river backwater areas. Striper fishing has been very good on swimbaits, jerkbaits and spinnerbaits. Catfish have been good on cut shad and skipjack around the mouths of the creeks and along bluffs and big riprap walls. Find the larger shad and you will find the fish.

Crappie have been biting well in creeks on jigs and minnows fished around brush 7 to 10 feet deep; black/chartreuse has been the go-to color for crappie jigs. Catfish have been good on cut skipjack
