 Fair trout action. Most recent plant was last Thursday. Anglers should call to see if a plant is going in this week. Most trout are two-pound class fish with bigger fish in each plant. Best trout reported this past week included a 7-8 landed by Milo Figueroa, Victorville on PowerBait at the Finger, while Curtis reeves, Hesperia, had a seven-pound on a Power Minnow. Catfish plants set to begin in mid-April. Kid’s Fishing Clinic set for this Saturday, April 9. Cost is $7.50 for kids 3 to 12 years old taught how to fish. Good trout action and a steady succession of quality rainbows continues to pour in. Best fish this week was an 11-pounder landed by Dione West, Rialto, on a nightcrawler-salmon egg combo. Sparky Kale, Hesperia, landed a nine-pounder, while John Knight, Rialto, had a 7 1/2-pounder. Steve Burridge, Hesperia, landed a seven-pound. Overall the trout action remains good with Mt. Lassen trout plants last Thursday and again this Thursday. Most trout are two-pound class fish with bigger fish in each plant. Catfish plants set to begin in mid-April. The trout action remains good with a lot of nice quality fish landed over the past week, including a pair topping 13 pounds. The biggest was a 13-6 rainbow landed by Henry Fabela, Pomona on Power Worms in Finger Cove, while a 13-5 was landed by Curtis Reeves, Hesperia, on a small, green trout jig, also in Finger Cove. Bob Ski, San Diego, had a 10-pound rainbow, while Tommy Phelps, Hesperia, landed a nine-pounder. Mt. Lassen trout plants last Thursday and again this Thursday.
