Water Temp 72 Lake Level Lake Level 706.85 Discharge 250cfs Water Clarity Muddy Crappie- The bite is still good. Fish are transitioning to the summer pattern. You can catch some fish deeper on the main lake flats but still some fish in the shallow water. Deeper fish use minnows and shallower fish use jigs for bait. Bass- The bite is spotty but some fish are still in the creeks. With the rising temperatures the square bill bite will turn on soon. For now flipping jigs will produce well. Catfish- The bite is good. The blues are running shallow in 8-10 feet of water right on the bottom. Jugs are working the best with fresh shad.

Fish for Sight Tournament 4-26-14, bite was tough, 214 boats entered and 130 boats did not catch a fish. I placed in 71 st position but could only manage 2 keepers. It stormed on us for about 3 hours. The morning bite was good and they turned on again in the afternoon. Dark colored creature baits, brushhogs type baits and crankbaits was what we got bit on. Only lost one keeper at the boat but caught a lot of short fish. I fished down in the Pomme Arm and water clarity was about 6 foot. Main lake temp was 59 to 60 F and back in the coves it was up to 62 F. Saw 2 bucks making beds but the females were holding out deeper waiting for a temp bumb. Bucksaw area was chocolate milk and wind was a was howling which made boat control very trying to stay in position and keep in contact with your bait.
