Black bass bite is very good. Drop-shotting grubs and Senkos gets bass in the three to four pound class. Bass are scattered. Some tight to the shore others in deeper water. Hook, Line & Sinker (925) 625-2441

Black bass bite is very good. Senkos, chatterbaits, topwater frogs and poppers and drop-shot all get bass. A lot of big fish are being caught from beds. Bass to 14 pounds are being hooked. A Yamomoto Open tournament is being held from Russo’s Marina. Call for details. (925) 625-2441

Little Franks Tract has a lot of schoolie stripers. Fish the current with LVRD10s. Largemouth bass chase five- and six-inch Senkos in watermelon red or green pumpkin. Bass are still on beds. (925) 625-2441

Black bass are active in the shallows. Find them from six inches of water to four feet deep, regardless of tides. Use Senkos or RoboWorms. Best color has been red. Bass to eight pounds are being caught. Stripers are being caught off levees with Ratltraps and Pencil Poppers. Keeper stripers were being caught last week in Taylor Slough. (925) 625-2441
