Spent the whole day on Dale. Put in at first light and we left at dark. I had 1 fish all day and my buddy had 3. Jig bite has slowed down and I'm not going back until the end of February or first of March. Too cold for me and I hate fishing for just 3 or 4 bites all day. We experimented with a tail spinner. I had herd from a local that they was eating it pretty good

Fish are slow. Catch 1 off each stop, fish 30 - 40 ft deep. Not much action so very few bites but the trophy size smallmouth are worth the time out. We pulled up to each spot and made 5 precise cast. If not bit in 5 cast then you need to leave because there's no fish there. 3 of us in the boat had 5 smallmouth and 2 largemouth. It's was our 4th time on Dale Hollow. Only need to take 1 rod to throw a jig although their biting a fly and rye too but when the bite gets that tough I'll quit.
