went to clinton lake on dec 14 2014, started fishing the hot water just like everone  else. caught a few fish. but it was just to crowded for me.So i went to the West side end of the lake, and what a differance. no people and lots of fish. fished brushpiles in about 20-30 ft of water. caught over 100 crappie in the 6 hrs i was there. two were blacknose crappie that measured 14 1/2 in and weighed  1.56 and 1.61. they both made it back to the water

crappie were fare, had to work pretty hard, but they could be caught. fished manly the warm water end. most fish were in 4-6ft of water

I realy like to do the buzzbait and spinnerbait in the grass thing.But when I came across a log or bush or some kind of brush I would flip a jig or tube in the brush and that usuelly caught me alought of fish.
