Canadaway creek, NY Fishing Report

The water is clearing up and by Sunday it will be GAME ON !

The rain is here and so come the fish! A good run going on now and hope to be better soon!

Still nothing yet!

Raining now and Sunday. Maybe, maybe that will get something going!

Chautauqua creek is the place to be with a fair to good run on.

Starting to get some rain and the tribs have seen a small run of silver but not as good as Pa and Ohio yet.

COME ON RAIN !!!

It's that time of the year!!!! Just need RAIN !!!

Was out today for a few hours after the rain and,,,,,,we found fish! Some were dark but we did hook into a few "cromers"! @ off of a olive with red egg sucking leach and a few more with trout beads and stone fly combo. The water was a little off green and the flow was great! Hope to hit it again this week

Sorry everyone, been busy fishing and enjoying the nice March weather here in Westeren New York!

Fishing has been hot and now its not! Still a good number of fish in the streams but, warm water and bright blue skys have the fish off. Fished the other day and did good. Two days later the water is up 5 degrees and 1 for 3.

Single eggs or small beads is hot along with stone flys . Smaller the better.

Hope to fish a few more days before its done!

The water is great! The fishing? A little slow with a few hold over fish being hooked. Need a good rain or a snow melt. But, with no snow....no melt! Any fishing this time of year is a bonus!

Cold and Ice. Only open water are the deeper poola. Even those are slow!

Fishing today was slow early, but when it warmed up, it turned on! Fish were active and bitting small trout beads and small eggs.

Creeks are "trout green"! Heading out in the morning for a few with friends! Report to come! Starting out with black woolies and stone flys first!

Water is trout green and the flow is a little quick but fishable!! Best to go with streamers like woolly buggers and egg sucking leaches. Black with flash or olive worked best for me!

Still some fish around. The water is "trout green" and warmer. Flow is just right. Try black or olive wooly bugs or on clear days pink, white or cotton candy suckers or single eggs. Size 8 to 12.

Well with the rain and snow run off we had on Monday and Tuesday, the creeks were blowen out and un-fishable. Today brings a trout green and fishable creek. Alittle ice and cold out but, it's FISH ON !! Friday and the weekend should be good!. 

Ice is off and water is flowing! Hope it hit it hard all week. Post to come!

Fished today and the water is outstanding !! Fish are in and the colors are green and pink ! Go it them !!

Blowen out today ! Did good up till  today!

Fish on Saturday for a couple of hours and did great. The water is of colored just enough and the fish we caught we fresh! Bright green with red blood dot sucker spawn  was the hot fly of the day.
