The Delta has been fishing really well. Fish surface patterns early morning, and then fish subsurface with your favorite baitfish imitations and sink-tip lines. A good out going tide will find fish holding along the edges of cuts, and mouths to river channels. Fish the flats on your incoming tides.

Guide JD RICHEY said that the Delta has been productive lately and he’s been working the Sacramento side mainly, though there are lots of fish in the San Joaquin as well

The day after the Giants won Game 7, Phil caught a bonus salmon while striper fishing with JD

He’s been working topwater, swim baits and spoons while many other folks have been trolling. There’s a ton of floating hydrilla out there making fishing, navigation and even launching tough. A lot of the ramps are starting to look like the Hogback Launch:
